HERE WE GO! – The shirt number Benjamin Sesko could wear for Man United as ‘total agreement reached’
Manchester United are confident they will sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig before the end of the summer transfer window.
United have already agreed personal terms with Sesko over his proposed transfer, while the club is confident they will be able to agree a suitable transfer package with Leipzig for his signature.
The Bundesliga club have already accepted a bid of €82.5 million plus €2.5m in add-ons from Newcastle, but were made aware the player would prefer to move to Old Trafford.
It seems only a matter of time before an official announcement is made after Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg confirmed United have launched an improved bid, while Fabrizio Romano revealed Sesko has reached a total agreement on personal terms.
Ruben Amorim is set to get his wish of an attacking overhaul this summer, and here are the numbers Sesko could wear once he is unveiled as a new United signing.
The shirt numbers Sesko could wear for United
Benjamin Sesko has primarily worn the No.30 shirt during his senior club career, while he has been the No.11 at the international level for Slovenia. Those two options are already taken at Manchester United, so he will have to make a new number his own if he moves to Old Trafford.
If he had joined earlier in the summer, Sesko would have had a free run at his dream No.30 shirt number, which was handed to Diego Leon after he completed his move from Cerro Porteno. Joshua Zirkzee currently occupies the No.11 shirt he has worn for his national team.
