He wants to bring the superstar to Old Trafford – Phil Foden thinks Sir Jim Ratcliffe is trying to sign an ‘unbelievable player’ for Man United

Eberechi Eze has been in sparkling form over the last couple of seasons, and clubs across the country are queueing up to sign the Crystal Palace superstar

Eberechi Eze’s potential signing by Manchester United will not sit well with Phil Foden, who called the Crystal Palace star “unbelievable” in the past.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the part owner of United, spent £180 million on five new players during the summer, and he doesn’t seem to be planning to tighten his spending.

The club is reportedly planning to make an even bigger splash in 2025, with defenders, midfielders, and wings on their wish list. Ratcliffe is one of Eze’s many supporters at Old Trafford, and United is rumored to be pushing for the 26-year-old next summer.

The Eagles star’s deal has a £68 million release clause that the Red Devils are naturally eager to utilize to start a charm.
After all, they’re unlikely to be the only ones after Eze next summer.

Tottenham, Manchester City and Arsenal were heavily linked with him last month, and judging by Foden’s recent comments, it’s clear the midfielder’s signing would get his approval.

“I just think he [Eze] is unbelievable the way he controls the ball it’s everything about him the way he moves on it and someone I rate really highly,” Foden, 24, said in a video uploaded to the England national team’s official YouTube channel.

“I was really worried from a club point of view of losing Michael [Olise] and Ebbs [Eze] in the same window and we didn’t have in Ebbs the interest that I thought we would have,” Parish told Sky Sports.

“I was astounded. Genuinely astounded. I mean, the guy’s just an outstanding footballer, an outstanding person.”

London-born Eze has made over 120 appearances for Palace since joining from Queens Park Rangers in 2020.

He’s been a first-team regular, when fit, throughout his stint, though his form has been particularly head-turning in the last couple of years, with the Manchester Evening News now claiming that United are monitoring him ahead of a potential move for him next summer.

He made his England debut in 2023 and was included in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad. However, he had to settle for a bit-part role at the tournament, with the likes of Foden, Bukayo Saka, Jude Bellingham and Cole Palmer ahead of him in the pecking order.
