FULL AGREEMENT: Finally sky sports confirm Man united set to agree deal to sign £35m Fiorentina superstar after Man United medicals completed today

Fiorentina and Manchester United are already in negotiations over the transfer of midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, according to Alfredo Pedulla.

The Red Devils recently secured an agreement with Atalanta for striker Rasmus Hojlund, and the Dane is currently in Manchester to undergo his medical tests.

Amrabat is the next player on United’s radar and speaking to Passione Fiorentina, Pedulla said that the club are already discussing with Fiorentina over a deal.

The reputed journalist added that the 26-year-old is a ‘Ten Hag choice’ similar to Andre Onana and Hojlund and a transfer could be finalised for €35 million.

He said: “Fiorentina and Manchester United, despite denials, have already spoken. The figure? We can break through the €30m figure. Saudi suggestions? These are old matters, like the one concerning Osimhen.”

“He is a Ten Hag choice, like Onana and Højlund. Fiorentina will get upward of €30m, maybe close to €35m. For me, if Amrabat leaves, Fiorentina can go for a strong midfielder.”

Man Utd likely to sign Amrabat for a lesser fee

United have purchased a creative midfielder, a goalkeeper and a striker this summer. The club’s next two priorities could be a defensive midfielder and a central defender.

Amrabat has been identified as the ideal fit for the number six role. He has already agreed personal terms with United, and the onus is now on the club to secure a deal.

In our view, the Red Devils are unlikely to meet the €35m price tag for the midfielder. They could make a lower proposal in the region of €25m for the Moroccan star.

At most, United could go as high as €30m by including bonuses. Amrabat would be a fantastic signing for the club, and he could genuinely compete with Casemiro.

The likes of Scott McTominay and Fred have been inconsistent to challenge the Brazilian, but the same can’t be said about Amrabat, who is playing his best football.

Amrabat possesses strong distribution skills and ball control. He is also good in breaking down play with fouls and has a terrific work rate over the entire 90 minutes.

His arrival at Old Trafford would ensure that the club have two elite holding midfielders in the squad
