DONE DEAL! – Man united £453.3m starting XI as Andre Onana flying out for Man United pre-season tour today

Man United will announce the signing of Andre Onana imminently as he is due to land in New York today.

New Manchester United signing Andre Onana is flying to the United States today for the club’s pre-season tour.

Onana arrived at United’s Carrington training complex on Wednesday to complete a medical and obtain a visa to finalise his £47.72million transfer.

The 27-year-old was due to fly to Manchester on Tuesday evening but his flight was cancelled, so he was unable to be on board with teammates who flew from Manchester and Edinburgh, where United beat Lyon 1-0.

Onana queued up at Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport ahead of boarding an Aer Lingus flight to New York.

The Cameroon international has an outside chance of making his United debut against Arsenal at the MetLife Stadium on Saturday.

United will have five goalkeepers on tour after Tom Heaton, Dean Henderson, Nathan Bishop and Radek Vitek were named in manager Erik ten Hag’s 31-man squad.

Ten Hag included Henderson despite intense interest from Nottingham Forest as they have not received an acceptable offer to sell the ‘keeper.

Henderson’s season on loan at Forest was curtailed by a thigh injury that has kept him sidelined since January.

Henderson had surgery in early May but he is nearing a full recovery and hopes to play again soon. He is still expected to be sold as United prepare to announce the signing of Onana.

Matej Kovar has not gone on tour as he is expected to leave on loan again. Kovar came on in the second half of Unityed’s 2-0 win against Leeds last week and played the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 defeat of Lyon
