Done deal as Matheus Cunha agrees five-year contract with Man Utd ahead of £62.5m transfer -Reports

Wolves star Matheus Cunha has reportedly agreed a five-year deal with Manchester United and is set to take Marcus Rashford’s shirt number.

United have endured a horror season as they finished their first campaign under Ruben Amorim trophyless and all the way down in 15th in the Premier League, level on points with Wolves. Since his appointment at Old Trafford as Erik ten Hag’s successor, Amorim has only won 17 out of 48 games, however, the Red Devils are ready to keep backing the Portuguese coach with new signings ahead of next season.

Wolves star Cunha is set to be the first signing of the summer for United. Journalist Ben Jacobs has now reported that Cunha has reached an agreement on a five-year contract at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils set to speak directly to Wolves this week in order to trigger his £62.5 million ($83.4m) release clause

Jacobs has also reported that Cunha will wear Rashford’s No. 10 jersey next season. The decision has been taken with Rashford expected to seal a permanent move away from the club after an impressive six-month loan spell at Aston Villa.
