Barcelona keen on loan move for Manchester United star winger and offer to cover his salary in full -Report

Barcelona are interested in bringing in Jadon Sancho on loan from Manchester United, although his enormous salary is likely to be an issue.

After being re-admitted to the team by Erik ten Hag during the summer, Sancho was left off of the starting lineup on the first day of the Premier League season, raising doubts about his future at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils manager and the England international seemed to have moved over their fallout from the previous season, during which Sancho was loaned to Borussia Dortmund for the second half of the season.

Sancho’s absence from the starting lineup in Friday’s victory over Fulham, though, does not bode well for the Dutchman’s intentions.

On why the 24-year-old was not involved, Ten Hag said: ‘First of all we need squad depth.

‘There will be a long season and it will be survival of the fittest but I can only put 20 players in the squad and Jadon in the week had an ear infection. He was not 100 percent fit.’

Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea have been linked with making a move for Sancho before the transfer window closes, while Barcelona are also keeping tabs on the situation.

Spanish publication Sport report that the Catalan giants are not going to make a permanent transfer bid for the winger, but are interested in a loan move.

The problem is that Sancho is reportedly on around £250,000-a-week at Old Trafford and Barcelona would be asked to cover this salary in full for a loan move to be agreed.

Manchester United would rather sell the former Dortmund man but want at least €40m (£34m) for him after spending £73m on him just three years ago
