Anthony sends heartfelt message as he faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford’ with Man United having found their Antony replacement as Erik ten Hag plan confirmed

Manchester United may have already found their replacement for Antony.

Antony is facing an uncertain future at United after reports that allegations of domestic violence were made against him.

Earlier in the month, United released a statement stating that Antony will take a period of absence from the club.

The statement read: “Manchester United acknowledges the allegations made against Antony.

“Players who have not participated in international matches are due back in training on Monday. However, it has been agreed with Antony that he will delay his return until further notice in order to address the allegations.

“As a club we condemn acts of violence and abuse. We recognise the importance of safeguarding all those involved in this situation, and acknowledge the impact these allegations have on survivors of abuse.”

With Jadon Sancho also facing an uncertain future after his public spat with Erik ten Hag, United are running out of options on the right side of their attack.

According to the Manchester Evening News, summer signing Mason Mount could now occupy Antony’s role and play on the right wing.

Mount was signed from Chelsea for a reported fee of £60 million during the summer transfer window.

Since his arrival, the 24-year-old has found it tough to rediscover his best football and has been injured since the defeat by Tottenham Hotspur last month.

United are looking to bounce back after suffering three defeats in a row against Arsenal, Brighton and Bayern Munich.

On the back of their 4-3 defeat against Bayern, Ten Hag said: “You have to look in the mirror because the goals were easy giveaways.

“We were in the first 25 minutes better in the game than Munich and then that goal, it was so easy.
