Amad Diallo is back already! Man Utd winger recovers from ankle injury in ‘record time’ with return to Ruben Amorim’s squad scheduled

An encouraging injury report regarding Amad Diallo has given Manchester United a rare lift in their 2024–25 season.

The 22-year-old winger hasn’t played since he injured his ankle during practice in early February before a Premier League match against Tottenham. At that point, there were hints that his season might be coming to an end.

With nine goals and seven assists in all competitions, Amad had been a ray of hope for the Red Devils during an otherwise dismal season. He had demonstrated potential under Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim in a wing-back position.

It may be that Amad comes back into contention for more minutes over the coming weeks. United’s Premier League season has become a write-off, as they languish in the bottom half of the table, but they remain in contention for Europa League honours

Fabrizio Romano has said of Amad’s efforts to play again this term: “Amad Diallo, set to be back in training with Manchester United squad already next week!
