As Manchester United continue to struggle, one former Red Devil thinks Alexander Isak would jump at the opportunity to move to Old Trafford.

Former Manchester United hero Teddy Sheringham thinks Alexander Isak would jump at the opportunity to move to Old Trafford. The Newcastle United forward is enjoying another hugely impressive season at St. James’ Park.

Isak, 25, has already been linked with a move to Arsenal as well as United. While the Gunners were the ones who were more regularly touted as a suitor for the Swede, United have emerged as a potential destination, with Marcus Rashford looking likely to leave Old Trafford.

Despite United’s poor form, Sheringham thinks Ruben Amorim would be able to sway Isak to the red side of Manchester.

Speaking to BoyleSports, who offer the latest Champions League odds, Sheringham, when asked if Isak would join Old Trafford, he said: “Without a doubt.”

He added: “Manchester United is still a massive draw for any player and playing for the club is still a highlight of anyone’s career. Would Alexander Isak consider joining United if a bid came in? Without a doubt.

“I’m not saying a deal will get done but he would be the perfect signing for United. He can lead the line and score goals and could be a statement signing for the new regime. He is full of confidence at the moment and could lead by example.”
