Man Utd and Chelsea handed massive boost as Victor Osimhen rejects £63m transfer ahead of Old Trafford summer move -Reports

Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have been given renewed hope of signing Victor Osimhen after he rejected a £63m summer move.

Osimhen has been linked with a number of top Premier League clubs after his successful loan spell at Galatasaray.

Effectively banished from Napoli by Antonio Conte last summer, Osimhen made the switch to Galatasaray and helped the Turkish club win the league title with 37 goals in all competitions.

Osimhen only joined Galatasaray after a deadline-day move to Stamford Bridge fell through, much to the frustration of the Chelsea delegation that had travelled out to Naples to agree a deal.

Chelsea have again been linked with Osimhen this summer despite already spending £30m to sign Liam Delap from Ipswich Town.

The 26-year-old has also emerged as a potential target for Manchester United and Arsenal but it appeared as though the Premier League sides would all miss out as he edged closer to a move to Saudi Arabia

Napoli agreed a £63m deal with Al Hilal last week but Osimhen has now rejected the Saudi giant’s proposal and the move has fallen through, according to Sky Sport Italia.

That will come as welcome news to potential suitors for Osimhen, who scored more than a goal every two games for Napoli before being exiled by Conte.

Manchester United and Arsenal are both yet to sign new strikers but it appears only a matter of time before goalscorers arrive at Old Trafford and the Emirates Stadium

‘I hope there is still a Premier League move for him this summer’, he told Metro. ‘I think the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United, they still need a striker

‘I don’t think [Rasmus] Hojlund is the guy for Manchester United. He runs around and works hard but he is not the guy who will score goals, put them in the top four and win them trophies.

‘So for me Manchester United might be the destination. I don’t want to see him in Saudi right now because he still has so much to offer in Europe.
