BREAKING- Liverpool set to offer four players in mega Kylian Mbappe transfer swap

Liverpool are linked with a move for Kylian Mbappe and Express Sport looks at who could head in the opposite direction.

Mbappe is out of contract at PSG in a year’s time. The French club do not want to lose one of the world’s best players on a free transfer.

Clubs across Europe are eyeing up a potential deal for the France superstar. Spanish journalist Edu Aguirre told El Chiringuito TV earlier this week that Liverpool had put forward an offer worth around £170million.

The Reds could instead try to offer players as part of a deal to sign Mbappe. Express Sport looks at four potential Anfield stars who could be used in a player-plus-cash transfer.

Thiago Alcantara
Liverpool are rebuilding their midfield and have already made two signings in that area. Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai have joined and Jurgen Klopp may not be finished there.

Thiago struggled with injuries last season and some feel that perhaps, at the age of 32, the Premier League is now too quick for him. The Spaniard could still do a job for PSG in the French league and provide winning experience in the Champions League.

Fabinho
Fabinho had his worst season in a Liverpool shirt last term. Neither Mac Allister nor Szoboszlai are defensive midfielders, so he would need to be replaced if he does leave.

Klopp will have to make a decision on whether he feels Fabinho can return to the form he showed in his first four years at the club. If not, he may attempt to farm him off to PSG.

Diogo Jota
Jota missed some of last season through injury and was not a regular starter until the latter stages of the campaign. He found some form in front of goal, with braces against Leeds, Nottingham Forest and Southampton.

However, the arrival of Mbappe would make it harder for him to earn regular game time. At 26, he could be an attractive proposition for PSG.

Darwin Nunez
Ok, it may be too soon to write off Darwin as a Liverpool player. He certainly showed glimpses of his potential in his debut season in English football.

However, he fell out of favour in the second half of the campaign. There wouldn’t be room for him and Mbappe in the Liverpool squad and he could take up a sizable chunk of the transfer fee PSG would demand.
