Manchester United begin their 2024/25 Europa League campaign this week with a home clash against Dutch club FC Twente.

With just two wins in their first five games of the current Premier League season, the Reds have had a mixed start.

The team advanced to the Carabao Cup fourth round with a convincing 7-0 win over Barnsley, a League One team.

Now, Erik ten Hag’s team will focus on one of the other cup events in the Europa League that they will be fighting for victory in.

The Reds will likely be looking to rotate the team while still providing a strong eleven going into the game.

Noussair Mazraoui is one player who has been playing a lot of football so far this term and with his injury history, this could be a game that he misses out.

Unfortunately, it remains unlikely that Luke Shaw or Tyrell Malacia are back in action for this game, with neither player yet training fully with the first-team squad.

Instead, 20-year-old Toby Collyer could move back into left-back again after making his full debut against Barnsley in the position.

The only other guaranteed absentee is expected to be Leny Yoro. Meanwhile, Victor Lindelöf returned to first-team training last week and could be involved in the squad.

Manuel Ugarte is set to make his second United start, with the new midfielder in need of extra minutes on the pitch.

Mason Mount and Rasmus Højlund could also get game-time after appearing in the matchday squad against Crystal Palace on the weekend
