£30m Arsenal target appears to wave goodbye to fans after Manchester United open talks to sign him

Manchester United are surely saddened after losing the FA Community Shield to Manchester City on Saturday.

Despite squandering several glaring opportunities to score as Pep Guardiola’s side eventually won on penalties at Wembley.

Manchester United could now ease the pain for fans by bringing a talented Arsenal target to Old Trafford – as he has just been seen waving goodbye to supporters.

Arsenal target Ferdi Kadioglu appears to wave goodbye after Manchester United open talks

A story from the Daily Express on Saturday revealed that Manchester United have opened talks to sign Ferdi Kadioglu.

The Turkey international impressed at UEFA Euro 2024 this summer as his country reached the quarter-finals.

It comes after Turkish news outlet Hurriyet claimed that Arsenal also want to sign Kadioglu and are planning to bid for the Fenerbahce No.7 this summer.

Now – however – the man from Arnhem has been captured on camera after Fenerbahce’s 1-0 win against Demirspor on Saturday, with footage appearing to show him waving goodbye to fans, as teammates also huddle around him in apparent attempts to console him and congratulate him.

Brighton are also believed to be keen on signing Kadioglu this summer – although the timing of this video is particularly interesting, as Manchester United have only just been reported to have opened talks.

The 24-year-old made 51 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring three goals while also providing five assists.

Fenerbahce reportedly want £30m to sell Kadioglu this summer.

Turkey international could replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Kadioglu would become an incredibly useful squad option for Erik ten Hag if this deal goes through, especially with Aaron Wan-Bissaka closing in on a move to West Ham.

The Fenerbahce No.7 made 42 appearances at left-back last season and nine on the right of defence, two areas the Londoner has often covered during his time at Old Trafford.

Therefore, Kadioglu can act as cover for Diogo Dalot as well as Luke Shaw and Lisandro Martinez, while also being capable of playing further forward as well.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as the versatile star could soon be on the move after appearing to wave farewell at Fenerbahce
