(3-4-3) Man United predicted line-up vs Bodo/Glimt as Lisandro Martinez and Rasmus Hojlund start in Europa League

On Thursday night, Man United will face Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League in an attempt to record their first victory under Ruben Amorim.

Manchester United will play Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League on Thursday night in an attempt to record their first victory under head coach Ruben Amorim.

United, who have never played the Norwegian team before, drew 1-1 with Ipswich Town on Sunday at Portman Road to start the Amorim era.

Marcus Rashford’s early opening goal was negated by Omari Hutchinson’s deflected effort for the home team.

Now, Amorim will want to assist United get off to a strong start in the Europa League by winning his first home game as manager. Out of their first four games in the league, they have only won one.

United, who have never previously faced the Norwegian club, opened the Amorim era with a 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Sunday. Omari Hutchinson’s deflected effort for the hosts cancelled out Marcus Rashford’s early opener.

Amorim will now be looking to win his first home game at the helm and help United kickstart their Europa League campaign. They have won just one of their opening four games in the competition this term.

Andre Onana is poised to start in goal and continue his run of starts in the Europa League this season. The goalkeeper was outstanding in Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Ipswich and will be determined to secure just his second European clean sheet of the season.

As far as the defence is concerned, Yoro’s absence from training on Wednesday, although that was planned as he was on a designated recovery day, suggests he will not be in line to make his United bow against the Norwegian side from the start. Noussair Mazraoui could once again slot in at right-sided centre-back.

Matthijs de Ligt also started the draw at Ipswich and is likely to retain his place. Martinez could start on the left of the back-three for the first time under Amorim after missing out at the weekend.

Amorim was impressed by Amad’s contributions from the right wing-back berth at Portman Road, meaning he could retain his place. Diogo Dalot could once again line up in the opposite wing-back position.

United are the healthiest they have been in central midfield for some time, but Casemiro could retain his place after earning plenty of time on the training ground since Amorim’s arrival.

However, Kobbie Mainoo could make his return from injury from the start after being an unused substitute at the weekend.

Up front, Rasmus Hojlund could be recalled to spearhead the attack, supported by Bruno Fernandes and Rashford either side of him.

Rashford started in the centre of the front-three at Ipswich and scored inside the opening 90 seconds.

However, Hojlund is a natural No.9 and will have ambitions of becoming Amorim’s first-choice striker

Manchester United predicted XI vs Bodo/Glimt: Onana; Mazraoui, De Ligt, Martinez; Amad, Casemiro, Mainoo, Dalot; Fernandes, Hojlund, Rashford.
