18-assist sensational Lyon playmaker says yes to Old Trafford transfer with player having agreement to leave this summer -Reports

Manchester United are keeping tabs on Olympique Lyon sensation Rayan Cherki, as per reports.

Cherki and his representatives have seemingly been flirting with a move away from Parc Olympique Lyonnais since last summer.

However, Cherki has started to raise eyebrows with his consistent showings for Lyon in recent months.

With his eight goals and an incredible 18 assists across all competitions this term, the France U21 international has underlined why he is regarded as one of Europe’s most talented players.

It is claimed that the Premier League giants have “asked to be kept informed” about the 21-year-old’s situation.

Cherki recently delivered a statement performance in France U21’s 5-3 win over England, registering two assists and a goal. The likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur have also joined the queue for the young talent.

Cherki will enter the final 12 months of his contract in Lyon this summer and is reported to have an “agreement” with his club that “will allow him to move on for less than £25m this summer.”

Known for his close control and vision, Cherki is an extremely versatile player, capable of playing on both flanks, in the middle of the park and as a centre-forward.

As such, he could offer Ruben Amorim plenty of creative solutions amid the United head coach’s struggle to unlock his attack, owing to both quality and squad depth issues.

For now though, Amorim’s priority would be to find a way to stop Cherki as United are set to face Lyon in the Europa League later this month
